Punchy Picture Friday

At home on the range. We haven't been the best lately with Punchy Picture Friday. Last week we were busy traveling to North Dakota, and today we're posting pretty late in the day.

Anyway, instead of finding a picture taken by one of our industry counterparts, the above picture was taken by us at the US, Canada border. We aren't exactly 100% sure what these pots of hogs are doing, but from what we could tell, the two truckers were moving hogs from one pot to the other before going through customs. The backing up alone makes this picture punchy enough for us, and, it's not something you see everyday at home on the range.

Would You Take A Look At That!

At home on the range. One of the highlights of our trip to Rugby was the Prairie Village Museum. The Museum is home to 27 buildings chalk full of historical memorabilia. From boxing alligators to tractors of every color, Prairie Village has a little bit of something for everyone.

More green tractors.

Luke found himself in jail...

Sometimes we didn't even know what we were looking at!

Mom kept company with the Clifford Thompson, largest man to live.

We weren't fibbing about the alligators...and posed on a china hutch nonetheless...

Colin found a belt buckle that put new meaning behind "dinner plate."

Aside from the oddities and knick knacks, it was nice to go back in time and imagine a life long ago at home on the range.

North to Rugby

At home on the range. Whew...it's been a while since our last post. In a week's time we've straddled two countries, stood next to the tallest man in the world, took a picture in the exact center of North America and wished my grandmother a wonderful 80th birthday. Needless to say, the week's been an eventful one.

This past week, Colin and I along with my family, flew to Rugby, North Dakota to celebrate my Grandmother's birthday. We met up with my mom's entire family for a week of small town fun. During our stay we visited the International Peace Gardens, toured the Prairie Village Historical Museum, took pictures at the Geographical Center Monument, and spent lots quality time with family and friends.

For a little bit, we traded in our home on the range for another one just a bit further north. With all the fun we had, we thought we'd talk about our trip bit by bit. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and we look forward to telling you more about our trip at home on the range.
